It was 4:00 AM on the day of her wedding and Valerie could not sleep. Her mind was racing through a last-minute mental checklist of everything that needed to be done in preparation for the day's big event. Thoughts came and went and she was soon thinking about the wedding guestbook.
Instead of a traditional guestbook, Valerie and Fred created their own guestbook with pictures of their adventures together. But Valerie found herself wishing they had done something different. Instead of a guestbook full of pictures of themselves, Valerie wanted a guestbook full of pictures of their guests.
With that one thought, Inscriptions Photo Guestbooks was born.
Valerie shared her idea of a guest-filled photo guestbook with Fred after their wedding. Instantly, Fred saw the potential in the idea and realized how cutting edge technology could be combined with professional photography to make a new kind of guestbook; a photo guestbook. The two talked for many hours about how to make Valerie's idea become reality.
Valerie and Fred had the technology side of the idea covered, but they needed a professional photographer to complete the business and they turned to their good friend Kris. Over lunch at a Charlottesville, Virginia restaurant, Valerie and Fred shared their idea with Kris and the three were soon working out the logistics of what would be needed to start Inscriptions Photo Guestbooks.
Quickly, the trio was booking weddings on a regular basis and Inscriptions Photo Guestbooks had completed the path from an early morning thought to reality. While none of them was able to have a photo guestbook at their own wedding, Valerie, Fred, and Kris enjoy being able to provide other brides and grooms with a lifetime of memories through Inscriptions Photo Guestbooks.
Fred has worked in multimedia since the mid-1990s. He combines his computer knowledge with the skills he learned as a graduate of Industrial Design from Auburn University to create highly functional and appealing multimedia applications. Fred is an expert with interactive pen display tablets and is responsible for the creation and management of the Inscriptions Photo Guestbooks website.
Kris started with a Barbie 110 camera at age 7 and has never looked back. Her studies include Kodak Workshops, Maine Media Workshops, and Western Connecticut State University. Taking photographs for publications since the mid-1980s, Kris excels in portraiture and sports photography. Her outgoing but fun nature puts clients at ease helping achieve great results with every shot.
Valerie started using computers in the early 1980s and has not stopped since. Her knowledge about technology and her degree in Communications from Wake Forest University make her invaluable to the team. Valerie is always full of new ideas of how to make Inscriptions Photo Guestbooks the best product possible for our clients. Her early morning thought on the day of her wedding was the impetus for the creation of Inscriptions Photo Guestbooks.
